Thomond student village Limerick is situated on the Old Cratloe Road which is based on the outskirts of Limerick City. Thomond Student Village is located inclose proximity to LIT, approximately just a 10 minutes walk will get you there. Along your path from LIT to Thomond you will find many shops,chemists, beauticians and off- licences. However if walking isn’t yourfavourite thing and you prefer to be brought home in comfort, our shuttle bus offers a daily service from LIT to and from our village. The shuttle bus begins operation at 8.30a.m. and runs until 6.00p.m. Now you will never have a reason to be late for lectures or exams.

Thomond Student Village this summer has been busier than ever before. Each year Thomond offers special lower rental rates to students who wish to remain in Limerick for the summer. In the summer the luxury accommodation is open to anyone, not only students, and offers short-term as well as long-term stays.
This summer for the first time Thomond welcomed groups of 200 students from English Language School MLI. The students with this school hail from Italy and spend their days in classes in LIT and socialising and sleeping in Thomond’s luxury accommodation. Thomond provides the perfect accommodation for these students given the many green areas for enjoying the summer sunshine when we actually get it and the large indoor recreation areas with pool tables and large-screen TV for when we don’t!

Students returning to LIT this September will find that Thomond Student Village provides the perfect accommodation. The facility is offered for friends to live together if they wish and as the rent is paid per person to the management there are no arguments over who owes what as can happen with private rented houses.
With a shuttle bus running the short distance between the student village and LIT students can always get to college in dry clothes! The village also has common areas including one with pool tables and another with a large screen TV for residents to chill out with friends. Thomond also runs a recommend a friend scheme where existing students booked in are rewarded for recommending the village to others who then subsequently book into Thomond which is great for cash strapped students!

Thomond’s LIT Student Accommodation is conveniently located on the Old Cratloe Road. The village is only a short walk from LIT with a shuttle bus running to the college regularly throughout the day. There are shops and off-licences within a few minutes walk of the complex and given the proximity to the city there are many restaurants which will deliver food to the village.
There is a bus stop just down the road from Thomond Student Village and buses run to and from the city from here. There are vending machines and full laundry facilities on site.

Thomond Student Village is located just a short walk from the Limerick Institute of Technology. The village is a home away from home and is perfect for 1st year students who are moving out of home for the first time. Friends can live together in the village and for those 1st years who don’t know anyone else heading to LIT will be guaranteed to be put with other 1st years that are probably in the same boat.
Everything a 1st year student could possibly need is provided onsite. Thomond Student Village has a dedicated friendly management team and security onsite 24/7 to ensure students are always looked after. Project and study rooms equipped with PC’s are available for those who wish to study in groups or who don’t have their own computer.
As well as this, the common areas with large screen TV and pool tables provide places for students to chill out with friends. There are also vending machines which sell general drinks and snacks.

Thomond caters primarily for Limerick Institute of Technology students accommodation needs due to the fact that it is just a short walk from LIT. That said, the village also caters for FÁS students and those attending the agricultural college in Pallaskenry. LIT students living in Thomond find an extreme advantage in having the shuttle bus running regularly up and down to the college throughout the day.
FÁS students often find it difficult to find accommodation due to the short period which they are stationed in the college and for this reason the management have made special arrangements in co-ordination with the LIT accommodation office to accommodate these students throughout the year.
